  • Evaluation: High school curriculum subject choices: regular classes, honors, advanced placement - which ones and why
  • College research skills: evaluation of the student's educational goals, grades, interests - initial selection of specific reach, target and safety schools
  • Discussion: Financial Options
  • Consultation: Review of college board scores, achievement test scores, timetables for exams
  • Written Report: Written report and discussion with students and parents: curriculum, testing and college search results
  • Detailed online portfolio for college planning.
    -Sessions: March through December

ALL PROGRAMS INCLUDE UNLIMITED, INDIVIDUALIZED SESSIONS WITH STUDENTS AND PARENTS IN PERSON, BY PHONE OR EMAIL.

    11th - 12th Grade Program

    • Interview preparation: when, why, and how
    • Tips for visiting college campus
    • Last Chance for Honors and AP to "beef up" the academics
    • Choosing teacher references: who and why
    • College selections based on grades, personal preferences, portfolios, and selection criteria: usually one reach, two target, and one safety school
    • Work on portfolio to improve weak areas: for example, community work experience and community service
    • Select final essay topics for college applications, the style and content must be the student's voice
    • Complete Applications
    • Sessions: March through December: intensive and important

    EXPRESSLANE is a flexible three part program. Part A is highly recommended, because it is the preparation work and basis for all college applications.
